The Phoenix Suns will look to hold serve on their home court in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks. Chris Paul was sensational in the Suns first win in a championship series since 1993.
Paul shines in Finals debut
In his first ever Finals game, Paul was held scoreless in the first quarter, but erupted for 32 points over the next 36 minutes. Phoenix never relinquished the lead in the final three quarter, widening the margin to as much as 20. Devin Booker chipped in with 27, and Deandre Ayton showed he’s going to be a force go be reckoned with this series, posting 22 points and 19 rebounds.
Bucks got Giannis back in Game 2
The good news coming out of the series opener for the Bucks was Giannis Antetokounmpo’s return to action after hyperextending his left knee in the last series. While his numbers didn’t quite match up to his postseason average on the run to the finals, he scored 20 and dragged down 17 rebounds. His stat line was encouraging for the Bucks, but more so was how freely and fluidly he looked in his first game back from injury.
