Toni Kroos' brother Felix hangs up his boots
Felix Kroos, the brother of Real Madrid star Toni, has retired from the game aged 30. "The past 13 years which I have spent in professional have left their mark, not just physically but also mentally. Battling against that pressure is stressful," Felix explained in a message on Instagram in which he announced his playing days were at an end. He had been without a club since 1 July, when his contract with Union Berlin expired.
Braithwaite to continue at Barcelona, says agent
Martin Braithwaite is happy at Barcelona and has no plans to leave, his agent said today. The Danish striker was rumoured to be seeking an exit from Camp Noy but that information was dismissed by Hasan Cetinkaya
"Martin Braithwaite is p;laying for the biggest club in the world, he is working under one of the best coaches in the world. From his first day at the club until now, all of his expectations about how much playing time he would get at Barcelona have been fulfilled. He's very happy there," his agent Hasan Cetinkaya told BT Sport.
Begovic arrives at Everton
After announcing the signing of Andros Townsend, Everton confirmed Asmir Begovic has joined one a one-year deal with the option of a second season. The Bosian keeper joins Rafa Benítez's side from Bournemouth.
Scott Carson to stay on at City
Veteran goalkeeper Scott Carson has signed a one-year extension with Manchester City after spending the past two seasons on loan with the Premier League champions from Derby County.
The 35-year-old former England goalkeeper will continue to provide cover for Ederson and Zack Steffen.City manager Pep Guardiola praised him as being "like a captain behind the scenes".
Viña in at Roma
Roma general manager Tiago Pinto has confirmed that Uruguayan left-back Matias Viña is to join the Giallorossi from Palmeiras. Viña, 23, joins the Serie A club for a fee of around 11.5 million euros as cover for Leonardo Spinazzola, who suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon while on Italy duty at Euro 2020.
Rafinha could be on his way out of PSG
Georginio Wijnaldum’s arrival at Paris Saint-Germain has left fellow midfielder Rafinha Alcántara’s future at the club in doubt, L’Équipe reports. PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be open to dispensing with the Brazilian, who moved to the Parc des Princes on a three-year deal in 2020.

Tottenham full-back Sergio Reguilón appears to be pleased at the prospect of fellow Spaniard Bryan Gil joining him in North London. Reguilón has liked a social-media post by Fabrizio Romano, in which the transfers expert reveals that Spurs are in talks with Sevilla over a swap deal involving midfielder Gil, 20, and Argentine winger Erik Lamela.
Liverpool's Marko Grujic makes Porto move permanent
Liverpool's Marko Grujic has joined Porto on a permanent deal. The 25-year-old Serbian midfielder joins for a reported 12 million euro fee with Liverpool including a sell-on clause which will guarantee them 10% of any future fee if Grujic is sold on.
Dortmund snap up PSG starlet Kamara
Borussia Dortmund have signed 16-year-old Abdoulaye Kamara from Paris Saint-Germain, the midfielder moving to the Bundesliga on a free transfer. Kamara has put pen to paper on a "long-term" contract at Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund say.
Van de Beek 'offered' to Barcelona
Mundo Deportivo report that Manchester United offered Donny Van de Beek to Barcelona days after Georginio Wijnaldum said no to the Catalan giants.
The English side also reportedly considered offering Real Madrid the Dutch player as part of the transfer involving Raphaël Varane.
Having failed to land former Liverpool player Wijnaldum, the Camp Nou outfit are looking to add to their midfield department for 2021/22.
Bologna in no rush to sell Tomiyasu
Bologna sporting director Riccardo Bigon has told Tottenham Hotspur that the club is in no rush to sell defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Japan international is currently on international duty at the Olympics.
Bigon told Sky in Italy: "When the Premier League comes knocking, it's clearly very tough for a player to be indifferent to it. We want to wait until the conditions are favourable both for us and for the player."

Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham and Sevilla are close to reaching an agreement on a swap deal involving attacking players Erik Lamela and Bryan Gil.
Sevilla will reportedly earn over €25 million from the switch.

Bale decides against move to MLS
The Welshman has decided to play for Madrid in the final year of his contract, ruling out any loan option or going to play in the MLS.
Brentford sign Onyeka on 5-year deal
Frank Onyeka has completed his move to Brentford after receiving a work permit.
The Nigeria midfielder is currently in quarantine in line with covid-19 travel restrictions before joining up with his new team-mates for pre-season preparations.
The 23-year-old joins from Brentford’s sister club FC Midtjylland in Denmark.
Official: Grujic completes move to Porto
Marco Grujic has completed a permanent move from Liverpool to Porto after spending last season there on loan.
The Serbian midfielder was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing as manager from Red Star Belgrade in January 2016.

According to the reliable Canal Supporters, talks between Paul Pogba's representatives and PSG are progressing to the point where an agreement is close. The Manchester United player would be made one of the club's top earners.

AS Roma are confident of signing Granit Xhaka, as personal terms are agreed, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Xhaka wants to join José Mourinho at the Serie A club and the Gunners are open to selling to Swiss international after signing Albert Sambi Lokonga.
Arsenal sign Lokonga from Anderlecht
"It's a big move because I've been playing for Anderlecht for 10 years," Belgium Under-21 midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga told Arsenal's official website.
"It's a big step but I feel confident because in the football world you have to feel confident about yourself.
"I'm looking forward to playing in this league and I can't wait to start."
Henderson linked with move away from Anfield
Completing a new deal for Jordan Henderson is reportedly not a priority for Liverpool's ownership this off-season. According to The Athletic, a move could be on the cards for the England international.
The report cites Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino as a long-time admirer of the midfielder and notes Henderson's close friendship with Atlético Madrid's Luis Suárez as potentially weighing in favour of a move to one of those clubs.
Liverpool are said to be eager to get something in return for Henderson, should he leave, after watching Georginio Wijnaldum move to PSG on a free transfer last month.
Varane tells Manchester United he’s ‘ready’ to accept offer
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid defender Raphaël Varane has told Manchester United that he would be ready to accept their contract offer.
The Frenchman's representatives have also confirmed the player's desire to play elsewhere to Real Madrid.
Bayern set a price for Tolisso
The Bavarian club are asking for €20 million for French international Corentin Tolisso.
Napoli and Juventus are two teams who have shown interest in the player, according to L'Équipe. Numerous injuries and acclimatisation difficulties have made Italy appear to be his next destination, and for that price it could work out well if he finds his undoubted form at a new club.
Barcelona rule out Griezmann-Saúl swap deal
The Griezmann-Saúl swap deal is off. Negotiations have broken down according to Mundo Deportivo and as far as Barcelona are concerned, there is no possibility of getting the operation back on track. Barça need to sell Griezmann to be able to register Leo Messi for the new season but their demands received a frosty reaction from Atleti.
Real Madrid: Brahim Díaz rejoins AC Milan on two-year loan
AC Milan have re-signed forward Brahim Díaz on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid. The Rossoneri announced on Monday the 21-year-old Spaniard will be tied to the Serie A club until 30 June 2023 and will wear the number 10 shirt.

Torino have signed Dennis Stojkovic. The 18-year-old Serbian midfielder spent last season in Belgrade with Partizan.
Rennes president quizzed about Camavinga's future
Eduardo Camavinga, who has just one year to run on his contract, will probably leave Rennes this summer. Back in May, RMC Sport reported that the players has requested to leave after talking it through with coaching staff. Several top European clubs, such as PSG and Real Madrid, have been following the situation, poised to put in a bid if an opportunity arises.
"Reducing our squad is one of our priorities. We have eight or nine players who could leave," Rennes president Nicolas Holveck told RMC Football Show today. "Eduardo's situation still needs to be resolved. Everything remains open, he could possibly either leave or continue his adventure here. He won't leave for nothing. We have had a lot of conversations".
Holveck admitted that Rennes are unlikely to get anywhere near the 100 million euros which Camavinga was valued at before the pandemic: "Putting a fixed price in an atypical market like this one would be presumptuous," he said.
Mbappé wants PSG exit as club remains adamant on convincing star to stay
According to L'Equipe, Kylian Mbappé still intends to leave Paris Saint-Germain despite the Ligue 1 club's investment in new players this summer, including Sergio Ramos.
Atlético don't want to lose Trippier - in spite of his desire to leave
The right-back is not for sale and will only leave if he hands in a transfer request and Atlético receive a suitable offer. He's been linked with a move to Manchester United.
