Victor Jaimez-Solorio: Child prodigy of athletics
This kid is not even in middle school yet, and he is already setting incredible records in athletics. Imagine what he will do as he gets older.
On August 5, nine-year-old Victor Jaimez-Solorio from Apple Valley, California, set a new U.S. record in the under-10 1500m race at the AAU Junior Olympics in 4:42.97, beating the previous record by almost 15 seconds. The day before crushing this record, he won the 800m race with a time of 2: 22.46. This young star has impressed everyone to the point of being called an athletic prodigy at just nine years old. His average per lap was 1:15, which per kilometer would be about 3:08. That’s an impressive time for any age, but at his age, it’s even more exciting. His personal best was 1:05 over 400 meters. This kid is someone to keep an eye out for in the future.
