If your dream has been to be an owner and manager of a professional American football team, Fantasy Football lets you find out if you are up to the job.

First thing for you to do is join a league. Take your time choosing a league to sign up with, and that includes knowing its rules. Decide whether you want to join a public or a private league, and if you want to play for fun or for money.

Next step is scouting for players. To do this well, you must find out all you can about all the available players. You can then rank them according to what you want in your squad.

Fantasy Football draft

Now it’s time to build your dream team through the draft. This part is considered by many players to be the most fun and gratifying part of the season. During this process, each fantasy owner chooses one NFL player at a time until all the lineups are complete. Don’t forget to draft all the positions you need for your roster, or your team won’t be complete.

Now that you have your team of about 15 players, choose your starting lineup, and you’re ready to play!

Fantasy football is a math-based game based on the actual performance of NFL players. During the NFL season, the players face each other in real-life matches, while your team plays in your fantasy league.

It's all in the stats

The statistics your players accumulate on the field are converted into fantasy points by your league provider. The total points scored by your starting lineup make up your score for the week. If your team’s score is higher than your rival, then you win that week.

Each week will continue in this way until the end of the fantasy regular season. In the process, you should try to improve your team. You can kick out low-performing players, sideline injured ones, or even offer to trade with another team owner.

The top teams will enter the fantasy playoffs, and whoever wins the remaining games will become the league champion. The winner could clinch a trophy, a cash prize, or simply some bragging rights.
