Josh Sargent and Norwich extend losing streak to six-games
The United States men’s international team striker has not found the back of the net in the first six games of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.
Norwich City is the only team in the 2021/22 Premier League season to have lost all six games and has only scored two goals. The campaign has been rough for the team managed by Daniel Farke and the 'Canaries' wallow at the bottom of the table with no points.
Josh Sargeant unable to find the back of the net
The United States men’s international team striker made his second start of the season on Saturday in the 2-0 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park. Josh Sargeant played for the full 90 minutes for the first time this campaign, but he is struggling to help his team in attack.
The 21-year-old has played as a central forward, right wing and left wing in the five games this campaign and he has confessed that he is frustrated. “So, I think it’s a very frustrating result for us. Letting up in these little moments and conceding these goals obviously blows the wind out of everybody. It takes away the momentum.
“We’ve got to look to sharpen that type of stuff and try to get some results,” said the American to canaries.co.uk after the 3-1 defeat at home against Watford last weekend where he played 70 minutes. The Canaries will have a whole week to prepare their next league game because they will go on the road to face Burnley on 2 October.
