MLB Playoffs 2021 schedule and preview
The MLB post season is finally here and it starts off with a classic rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in the AL Wild Card game.

The MLB expanded to 16 teams last year in 2020 and now it’s making its return to a 10-team postseason format. The playoffs begin with the American League Wild Card game, which will be between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox on Tuesday at 8pm ET. The rivals both earned their playoff spot on Sunday in dramatic wins on the last day of the MLB regular season. Whichever team wins between the Red Sox and Yankees will play the Tampa Bay Rays in one of the AL Division Series games. The Chicago White Sox and Houston Astros will battle it out in the other ALDS.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals will kick off the National League Wild Card game on Wednesday at 8pm ET. The Giants clinched their spot on Sunday with a win over the Padres to give them a 107-55 record and the Dodgers finished with 106 wins, the most of any wild card team in history. The winner of that Dodgers/Cardinals game will play the San Francisco Giants in the NL Division Series and the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves will play in the other NLDS game.
