Week 7 of the 2021 NFL season comes to an end on Monday night when the Seattle Seahawks host the New Orleans Saints at Seattle’s Lumen Field.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Saints at Seahawks

The Saints, who have won two of three games entering the bye week, will be going after their third straight road win. They’re coming off an impressive 33-22 win over the Washington Football Team in Week 5, with quarterback Jameis Winston throwing for four touchdowns and 279 yards. A dominant passing attack in Week 5 and two weeks of rest will certainly do something for the Saints in Week 7.

The Seattle Seahawks’ injuries are piling up

On the flip side, Seattle (2-4) has lost four of its last five games and are dealing with an injured quarterback Russell Wilson for the second consecutive week (finger injury). Wilson is not the only player with injuries though; there are a few more players listed as questionable to play on Monday Night Football. Running back Alex Collins, left guard Damian Lewis and defensive end Darell Taylor left with injuries in last week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where the Seahawks lost 23-20.

Alvin Kamara vs Geno Smith

Quarterback Geno Smith showed good effort against the Steelers (209 yards, one TD last week), but we can’t say the same about Seattle’s defense who are currently at 433.2 yards per game- an NFL-worst. The 31-year-old has a good chance to rely on receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, and step up Seattle’s game against the Saints defense. However, they have to account for the real threat of the game: Alvin Kamara. The running back with 481 total yards and four touchdowns will not go easy on Seattle after a long rest.

Things will not get any easier for Seattle on Monday.
