The New Orleans Saints outlasted the Seattle Seahawks in a soggy evening at Lumen Field.

It was an offensive struggle by both teams who managed just a touchdown a piece throughout the four quarters.

The Saints defense was the differnce maker in Seattle. After giving up and 86 yard touchdown just five minutes into the first quarter, New Orleans held the Saints to just three points in the final 55 minutes of the game.

The Saints win an ugly one in Seattle. The 13-10 win will push them to 4-2 on the season.

Smith's pass is incomplete to Metcalf and that will do it. Saints take over and they will wind the clock down after a couple of kneel downs.

Each team takes a time out with 1:13 to go.

Smith is sacked again this time by Davis for a 10 yard loss. 4th and 28 coming up

The one bright spot for the Seahawks offense went for an 84 yard TD

The SEA run game has been non existent, Smith has two carries for 11 yards, and that makes him the Seahawks top rusher.

Smith has 110 yards and a TD, but most of that came off of Metcalf's 84 yard TD catch and run on his only recpetion of the night.

Winston has 164 yards and a touchdown on 13/20 passing

Kamara has been struggling on the ground, he's got 13 carries for 29 yards, but he does have 108 yards on a career high 8 first half catches and one touchdown.

Smith will take a knee and bring us to halftime iat Lumen Field. The Saints woke up in the second half after allowing one big play in the first quarter that saw the Seahawks land the first blow.

Not perfect conditions from a soggy Seattle, it's 51 degrees and rain is expected throughout the night at Lumen Field.

Geno Smith hasn't won a game in which he started since 2016 when he was with the Jets.

Seattle has work to do if they want to avoid their first losing season in the Wilson-Carroll era.

According to BET365.com the Saints are 6 point favorites on the road, with the over/under set at 42

The home side getting ready for tonight's primetime matchup.

Winston, who we are used to being specatularly good, or bad has yet to be turned loose by Sean Payton this season. He has't thrown for 300 yards yet, but will face a defense that is dead last in passing yards allowed per game.

Geno has thrown for 340 yards, two touchdowns and an interception since taking over for Wilson in Week 5 against the Rams.

There will be no Russ Wilson for the Seahawks tonight. It remains to be see how long he will be out with his injured finger. In the meantime Geno Smith will be under center for Seattle.

The New Orleans Saints travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks to wrap up Week 7 in the NFL. AS English will have you covered with up-to-the-minute coverage, stats and scores of tonight’s game from Lumen Field.

The Seahawks will once again be without Russell Wilson who is still nursing a finger injury he suffered in Seattle’s Week 5 loss to the LA Rams. Geno Smith will start tonight under center for the second straight week as he looks for his first win as the Seahawks quarterback.

Seattle’s season took a turn for the worst when they gave up a big halftime lead in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans and eventually lost in overtime. Since then they 1-3 and will be without their starting QB for at least a few more weeks.

The new look New Orleans Saints are led by Head Coach Sean Payton and Jamis Winston. The post Drew Brees era hasn’t been as bad as everyone expected thanks to Winson who has come in a calmed things down near Bourbon Street.

The Saints are above .500 and looking to keep up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL South. Winston hasn’t had to be spectacular this season, instead he has been asked to manage games. He has 12 touchdowns with just three picks, but he has thrown for less than 900 yards over the first six games. He is looking for his first game over 200 yards since Week 2.
