Election day has arrived in New York City. Democratic nominee Eric Adams and Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa are in the running to replace current mayor Bill de Blasio. The debates between the candidates have been heated, ranging from a variety of topics such as the Covid-19 vaccine, rent control, affordable housing, gun violence, and global warming.

Blasio was the 109th mayor in New York City and has been for the last 8 years. He was elected mayor of New York City in 2013 and reelected in 2017.

What time are polls open?
