The Chicago Bears (3-5) are preparing for a prime-time matchup versus the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-3), where Chicago contemplates locking a three-game losing streak.

Leading up to Monday's game facing the Steelers, the Bears made various swaps on the current roster and practice squad, indicating good news on the Khalil Mack presence.

The Bears have waived outside linebacker Sam Kamara, leaving Chicago with Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn, and Trevis Gipson on the active list. Possibly it's a suggestion that Mack is returning, given it's just Quinn and Gipson currently at outside linebacker. However, the Bears also have Charles Snowden and added Cassius Marsh to the practice squad, and one of them will likely be promoted to the active roster on game day.

The practice squad has converted to even more critical for NFL teams with injuries and COVID-19 indications. Teams can allocate up to four practice-squad players, protected from being signed away from other teams every week.

The Bears stated they'd protected defensive lineman Margus Hunt, outside linebacker Cassius Marsh, running back Artavis Pierce, and outside linebacker Charles Snowden ahead of Monday's game against the Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers got back to work on Thursday as the team prepared to embrace the Chicago Bears to town for Monday Night Football.

The Steelers are currently 4-3, but you'd be hard-pressed to contemplate them as a roster that can make discord in January: where their ambitions lie. Injury status
