What is Christian Pulisic's record against Mexico?
The Chelsea playmaker could see some minutes on Friday against the Mexican national team after recovering from an ankle injury.
The United States men’s national team coach, Gregg Berhalter, is missing two key players for the November international break. Both Sergiño Dest (FC Barcelona) and Gio Reyna (Borussia Dortmund) are missing for their country this month through injury.
Christian Pulisic not expected to start
The 23-year-old suffered an ankle injury during the international window in September and it took him almost two months to recover. He was able to return to action and played a few minutes in the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League with Chelsea last week.
Pulisic is one of the leaders of the golden generation of the United States and he has 40 caps already. Five of those have been against the Mexico national team and he has one win, one draw and three defeats against the team now managed by Gerardo Martino.
The Chelsea playmaker could make his sixth appearance against the Mexican national team on 12 November at the TQL stadium. He is not expected to start the game because according to Chelsea’s boss, Thomas Tuchel, Pulisic still ‘feels a little bit of pain.’
