'Arcane' season two officially on its way to Netflix

Following the streaming of the final three episodes on Saturday, both Netflix and Riot Games officially confirmed the release of 'Arcane's' season two.

Update:
The animated series ‘Arcane’ has taken today’s competitive game service by a storm, and fans are anticipating the series finale. Will season 2 be out soon?

The hit League of Legends TV series ‘Arcane’ made its debut on November 6, receiving a strong response from fans, who just saw the end of season one on Saturday, Nov. 20. The animated show that ranked #1 on the Netflix Top 10 chart in 52 countries, just announced the release of season two.

Season 2 'Arcane' to be released 2023

Following the streaming of the final three episodes on Saturday, both Netflix and Riot Games, the most player-focused game developer in the world, officially confirmed that season two is in production for a post-2022 release. CEO Nicolo Laurent quickly reached out to fans announcing that season two was not going to take another six years to be released.

Arcane co-creators and executive producers Christian Linke and Alex Yee said in a statement that they are “beyond happy about the positive response to Arcane’s first season and are working hard with the creative wizards at Riot and Fortiche to deliver our second installment.”

Set in the past relative to the League of Legends universe, Arcane acts as a prequel to the game and re-narrates the birth of various characters from Piltover and Zaun. And unlike other Netflix series, the animated series comes out in three-episode bunches weekly, making up an Act. Act 1 started on November 6, Act 2 continued on November 13, and Act 3 wrapped up season one this Saturday.

Aimed at a "16+" audience, the series set the record as Netflix's best-rated show within a week of its premiere.
