A.J. Brown returned to action on Thursday night as the Tennessee Titans recorded a win over the San Francisco 49ers. Brown caught a career-high 11 passes for 145 yards. On Thursday, he told NFL Network that he healed quickly from the injury, but wasn't even sure if he was supposed to be out on the field. Brown stepped up in the second half and created the momentum for his team to thrive on and get the result.

49ers start strong

The Titans had a poor first half in which they could do nothing right offensively. The home side's defense's ability to come up with big play after big play limited the damage to a 10-0 half-time deficit. San Francisco came out and executed their opening drive of the game perfectly. After nine plays and 75 yards Jeff Wilson punched in a one yard touchdown run for the games first lead.

Brown the difference

The difference for the Titans this week was the return of star wideout Brown. Last year's Pro Bowl receiver was instrumental in his team's 20-17 comeback win.

"I'm truly blessed to be back here and playing the game that I love, to be honest. No matter hat happened tonight, I was just grateful to be back out here. I had a tough injury. Somehow I healed up pretty quickly. To be honest, I don't even know if I'm supposed to be out here right now, but it looks like it and I had a good day today," Brown told NFL Network.

Half-time message

"We were still in this game [at half-time]. It was 10-0 if I'm not mistaken, but just keep going [was the message]. It was all on us. We just had to make a play and then we had to make another play - so that was the mindset, just come out here, just make plays," he added.

Next up for Titans

The Titans will stay in Nashville as they prepare to host the Miami Dolphins next Sunday. Tennessee will finish out the regular season against the Texans in Houston the following Sunday.
