On Christmas Day, voting began for the 2022 NBA All-Star team.

The captains and starting lineups for the annual NBA All-Star team are determined by a fan vote on the five Western Conference starters and five Eastern Conference starters. The reserves are then selected by NBA head coaches.

Last season, LeBron James and Kevin Durant won the fan votes as the All-Star team captains in what was a very amusing All-Star draft.

This season, all current NBA players are available for election. Who’s going to be selected this season?

How to vote for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game?

Voting began on Christmas Day, and will conclude on Jan. 22 at midnight ET.
Fans have the opportunity to vote for this year’s NBA All-Star Game starters through the NBA App, NBA.com and Twitter.

The 71st NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.

Where is the 2022 NBA All-Star Game?

Cleveland is playing host to the 2022 NBA-All Star, which will commemorate the league's 75th Anniversary Season. The last time Cleveland hosted the All-Star, it celebrated the NBA’s 50th anniversary, back in 1997.

How to vote for the 2022 NBA All-Star starters?

On the NBA App: Available on both Android and iOS, fans can access and fill out one full ballot once every 24 hours on the NBA App. All that’s needed is selecting up to two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference when choosing starters.

On vote.NBA.com allows fans to also fill out one full ballot per day from a desktop or mobile browser.

On Twitter, fans are allowed to vote for up to 10 unique players per day from Dec. 25 - Jan. 22. Fans can tweet, retweet or reply with a hashtag of an NBA player's first and last name (#FirstNameLastName) or Twitter handle, as well as the hashtag #NBAAllStar. Each tweet is dedicated to only one player's name or handle.

There are five "2-for-1 Days" that allow fans to have their votes count twice. Let’s take a look at those days.

When are the 2022 NBA All-Star starters announced?

On Thursday, Jan. 27, TNT will reveal the NBA All-Star Game starters, including the two team captains.

An announcement of the reserves selected by the league’s head coaches will also take place on Thursday, Feb. 3 during TNT NBA Tip-Off.
