Titans' Bud Dupree charged with assault in alleged Walgreens fight
Tennessee Titans linebacker Bud Dupree was charged with misdemeanor assault on Sunday after a physical altercation with a Walgreens employee.

Following a fight at a Nashville Walgreens, Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Bud Dupree has been charged with demeanor assault.
According to a news release, the 28-year-old, who was with “several” companions, got into a verbal argument with a male employee, after which he “grabbed the victim and his phone” and got into a physical altercation that left the employee with a cut to his forehead.
By the time police arrived, Dupree had left the store, but the employee was allegedly filming the incident.

The Titans are aware of the situation and “are gathering additional information,” said a spokesperson on Monday. Dupree and his attorney met with detectives Tuesday morning.
Dupree is due to report for booking in three weeks after police issued a citation for the misdemeanor.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher was Tennessee’s marquee free-agent signing this offseason, with an $82.5 million five-year deal in March. Earlier, in December, 2020 he suffered a torn ACL and was listed as injured for three games. During his last three games with the Titans, Dupree posted three sacks, eight quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a pass defended in 10 games with Tennessee this season.
The Titans (11-5) who already clinched the AFC South title, head to Houston (4-12) for their regular-season finale Sunday with hopes to claim a No. 1 seed for the playoffs.
