Who plays Sunday night football tonight, week 18

The 49ers are fighting for their lives, while the Rams are hunting for a division title. It's Sunday Night Football and we're bringing it play by play.

It's NFL Sunday Night Football and we've got a massive game for you between the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams in the last week of the season.

In what is likely to be an intense affair, San Francisco will go on the road to face a Los Angeles team in a game where there is a lot on the line.

Can the 49ers halt the Rams' title charge?

It's the kind of game that gets fans excited and sports writers searching for anecdotes and stats. On the final weekend of the NFL regular season, we have a pair of West Coast rivals meeting with a huge amount of playoff implications. The Rams who sit on a record of 12-4 are playing for the division title and the chance to play at home in the playoffs, while the 49ers with a 9-7 record are playing for their postseason lives. If you're not sure as to exactly how things look for either team, then let us help you. The Rams will can take the NFC West division title with a win or tie vs. San Francisco or if Arizona loses or ties against Seattle. The 49ers on the other hand, can clinch their postseason spot with a win or a tie vs. the Rams or with a New Orleans loss or tie at Atlanta.

There are of course other important pieces to the puzzle such as who will the 49ers start at quarterback? will it be Trey Lance over normal starter Jimmy Garoppolo? Then there is the small issue of whether or not Cooper Kupp will make NFL history by taking the triple crown of receiving - he currently leads the league in receptions, yardage and touchdowns. All in all it should be an intense affair. The Rams come into this game riding a five-game winning streak, including last week's 20-19 come-from-behind victory at Baltimore. The Niners on the other hand have won three of their last four and are 6-2 since their 3-5 start to the season. What does that mean? Both teams are on the rise as they prepare to face each other. Expect fireworks. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET or 10:25 p.m. CET and the game comes to you from SoFi Stadium in Hollywoodland. For a full listing of all the other games, see below:
