LA Galaxy keen on signing French midfielder Teji Savanier
The team with the most titles in Major League Soccer (5) is keen to sign the French midfielder from Montpellier for the 2022 regular season.
The Los Angeles Galaxy decided to part ways with Jonathan dos Santos after five seasons and now they are looking to bring a new player and reinforce the midifield. According to Foot Mercato, the Major League Soccer side will make an offer to Montpellier to sign Teji Savanier.
Savanier is having an impressive season
So far this campaign the 30-year-old has scored six goals and provided six assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. Savanier is having a breakout season this year with Montpellier and the LA Galaxy believes that he is the right fit for the team.
The French midfielder is under contract until 2023 and the LA Galaxy have made an official bid to sign him before the end of the January transfer window. Teji Savanier has been impressive this season and he has helped Montpellier reach fifth place in Ligue 1.
They are only five points away from third-placed Olympique Marseille having played one less match. Savanier has been playing in a No.10 role in a 4-2-31 formation under manager Olivier Dall'Oglio.
