Which coaches have the most NCAA football championships?
Alabama Crimson Tide took to the field against Ohio State in 2020 for the National Championship with their coach Nick Saban about to make history.
Because there is no official National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) title, determining the nation's top college football team has long been a controversial one. That said, calls have been made and comparative lists have been drawn up, and from that we see that Nick Saban sits atop the table of coaches with the most college football titles.
Coach Sagan has most wins in college football history
Coming into the Sagan the 2020 National Championship Game, Alabama Crimson Tide's coach Sagan was level with the legend that was Bear Bryant on titles won. But with a dominant victory over Ohio State by 52-24, Saban stepped out for his place as top dog with seven crowns.
Bryant sits in second on his own just one behind while Bernie Bierman and Woody Hayes share third place.
