What happened to Bob Saget, found dead in hotel room?
The 65-year-old actor and comedian had been performing in Florida on Saturday night before hotel employees found him in his bed the next day.
On Sunday, people were stunned to hear the news that US actor and comedian Bob Saget was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida. The Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed the news via Twitter.
Saget death: 'no signs of foul play'
The 65-year-old star was best known as the jovial dad on the television sitcom Full House, and had performed in a comedy show in Florida on Saturday night. Following that show he tweeted his appreciation to the audience.
"Loved tonight's show ... I had no idea I did a 2 hr set," he wrote on Twitter, and urged fans to watch for upcoming tour dates this year.
Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use, the police department added and an autopsy was undertaken on Monday.
Speaking to CNN, Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany stated:
"At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play.
"The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete."
Saget played widowed father Danny Tanner on Full House from 1987 to 1995 and also on a sequel called Fuller House from 2016 to 2020. He also hosted America's Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
