In what will be a rematch of Week 6 between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Philadelphia Eagles, both teams meet once again on Sunday, with the Super Bowl on Tampa’s radar. Brady, of course, gets Tampa pumped up for this afternoon’s game with his hype tape that fans cannot get enough of.

For the first time since 2007, the Buccaneers will host their first true home playoff game. The Eagles are traveling to Raymond James Stadium with the last close game against the Bucs on their mind; Tampa Bay escaped the Eagles with a 28-22 win during their first meeting.

And while the Bucs are looking to repeat their Super Bowl success for a second consecutive year, the Eagles have changed a few things since their last game together.

Jalen Hurts against the Buccaneers defense

There is one player who can make or break the success of the Eagles tonight, quarterback Jalen Hurts. The second-year pro is just one of four QBs with 700 rushing yards, at least 3,000 passing yards, and 10 or more passing and rushing touchdowns in one season since 2000, following Kyler Murray (2020), Cam Newton (2011), and Daunte Culpepper (2002).

Tampa Bay will have to keep their focus on Hurts if they want to come out with a confident win past the Super Wild Card game.

DeVonta Smith is Hurts’ top target

And while Philadelphia does not throw the ball nearly as much as the Bucs do, when they go for it, it will be Hurts targeting rookie DeVonta Smith. That’s a combo that can also tire out Tampa Bay, especially with Smith leading Philadelphia in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

The good news for the Bucs, who won their last three games without having a few important players on the field, is that they’re set to have some of these players back and ready to go; linebackers Lavonte David, Shaq Barrett and Jason Pierre-Paul, as well as running back Giovani Bernard.

These players will no doubt boost Tampa’s game against the Eagles.

Tom Brady to keep team alive “for one more game”

Last but not least, Tom Brady will not want to miss another possibility to win a Super Bowl, especially if he does decide to retire after this season.

Last season, the Bucs became the first team in NFL history to score at least 30 points in four straight playoff games within a single postseason proceeding to a Super Bowl LV championship.

Now Tampa Bay has the chance to become the third team ever to score at least 30 points in five or more consecutive postseason games, if they score over at least 30 points against Philadelphia.
