All the information on how and where to watch the draw for the quarter-final of the 2021-22 Copa del Rey, at 06:30 ET on 21 January, 2022.
LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid were the latest side to be knocked out of the Copa del Rey after a 2-0 defeat away to Real Sociedad in the last 16 on Wednesday.
Real Sociedad took the lead in the 33rd minute from a superb header by Adnan Januzaj, who jumped between three defenders to score into the bottom-left corner of Jan Oblak's goal.
Real extended their lead after a defensive mistake, when Mikel Oyarzabal robbed the ball from Felipe and freed Alexander Sorloth to run into the box and rifle into the net from close range.
The Basque side joined Valencia, Real Betis, Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca and Cadiz in the quarter-finals while Real Madrid face Elche and Athletic Club host Barcelona in the last two round-of-16 games on Thursday.
The winners of the Spanish Copa del Rey 2021-22 earn themselves a place in the 2022-23 Europa League group stage while the runners-up join the victors in the 2022-23 Spanish Super Cup.
When is the draw for the quarter-final stage of the 2021-22 Copa del Rey?
The 2021-22 Spanish Copa del Rey quarter-final draw will be staged at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) in Las Rozas (Madrid) on Friday 21 January, 2022 with proceedings getting underway at 12:30 in the Salon Luis Aragonés. Former Valencia, Atletico, Barcelona and NYCFC striker David Villa will assist with the drawing of the eight balls fir the draw which will have no seeded teams.

When will the quarter-final games be played?
The next stage of the competition will see games being staged over, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 1,2 and 3 of February. There will be no replays and extra time and penalties will be used to decide the affair in the case of a draw after 90 minutes.
Which teams have already qualified for the quarter-final stage?
With two games still to be played on Thursday 20 January (Elche-Real Madrid) and (Athletic-Barça), the sides that have already qualified for the last 8 are: Mallorca, Rayo, Betis, Real Sociedad, Valencia and Cadiz.
