Daryl Dike injured in his first start with West Brom
The United States men’s national team striker suffered a hamstring injury and the medical staff confirmed that he will be out at least two weeks.
Daryl Dike made his debut as a starter with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday but had to be replaced in the 53rd minute due to an injury. The Championship side defeated Peterborough 3-0 and remain in fifth place with 45 points.
Injury update
Unfortunately, Dike was not able to help his team because he suffered a hamstring injury. After the match the medical staff confirmed that the United States men’s national team striker will be out for at least two weeks.
West Brom’s manager, Valerian Ismael, added that Daryl Dike will undergo a scan on Monday to learn about the severity of the injury. Ismael is hopeful that the United States international can return for the match against Sheffield United on 9 February.
Dike made his debut with the Championship side on 15 January and he came on as a substitute. The former Orlando City striker played 31 minutes in the 1-0 loss against QPR. Also, this injury will keep him out of the international break of January with the USMNT.
