USMNT striker Jordan Pefok linked with move to Venezia FC
The United States international iis currently under contract with BSC Young Boys until 2024, but the Serie A side is willing to negotiate his exit.
Jordan Pefok scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances with BSC Young Boys last season to help his team win the league title. The 25-year-old striker also scored three goals in eight matches in the Europa League and helped his club qualify for the Champions League this year.
In the qualifying playoffs, he scored three goals and provided one assist to advance to the group stage this year. So far this season, he has scored 16 goals across all competitions and he has awoken the interest of several clubs during the January transfer window.
Pefok could join Venezia FC
According to multiple reports, Pefok is in the radar of Serie A outfit Venezia FC. The United States international is under contract with Young Boys until the summer of 2024, but the Italian club are very keen on signing him.
The people in charge at Venezia have already started negotiations to bring in the 25-year-old striker, but the report indicates that ‘there is no certainty that the deal will get done.’ If things go as expected, Pefok could become the third American to join Venezia this season. Last year, Gianluca Busio arrived from Sporting Kansas City as did FC Dallas talent Tanner Tessmann.
