Brittany Matthews responds to critics amid champagne celebration of Chiefs' win
Patrick Mahomes’ fiance, Brittany Matthews, responds to critics following her champagne celebration for the Chiefs’ victory at Arrowhead Stadium.

Following the Kansas City Chiefs' thrilling AFC Divisional win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes’ fiance decided to celebrate their victory by spraying champagne into the stands at Arrowhead Stadium.
Brittany Matthews, clearly a devoted Chiefs fan, was in her box seat when she popped the champagne bottle open and sprayed it onto the crowd sitting underneath her in the regular seats.
Needless to say, the internet took Matthews by storm criticizing the 26-year-old’s actions, who took on Twitter on Monday to address her critics:
“I just wish I could do what I want without getting attacked every week,” she tweeted.

Matthews and Mahomes
Matthews, who shares an 11-month-old daughter with the star quarterback, also mentioned supportive followers who defended her.
Both Matthews and Mahomes are 26, and are high school sweethearts. They are planning on getting married later this year, somewhere “tropical.” Their engagement in 2020 took place at Arrowhead Stadium as well, which makes that stadium even more exclusive for the quarterbacks’ fiance.
