Ecuador are looking for their ticket to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. But it won't be easy to get it on Thursday. Facing them, none other than Brazil, who are still undefeated in the tournament, and who undoubtedly, despite being qualified, want to stay unbeaten before heading into the tournament at the end of the year. You can watch the game in the US on FUBO.

The outlook for the Ecuadorians, led by Gustavo Alfaro, is highly encouraging though ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. They are currently in third place with 23 points. A defeat for Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Uruguay, combined with a victory for Ecuador, puts them very close to the World Cup in Qatar.

**Ecuador vs Brazil: live**

The coach of Ecuador, Argentinian Gustavo Alfaro, is convinced his side have got what it takes and will try to convince his players that they will have to beat a big player in the current tie if they want to shorten the path to Qatar. That said, right now Ecuador are struggling with injuries and infections of a good number of players with covid-19, though they arrive with the historical precedent of having beaten Chile for the first time last November, in qualifying rounds, by 0-2 in Santiago.

Impossible to beat Brazil?

Brazil know they are already in Qatar 2022. However, they want to keep first place until the qualifiers are over. If the Cariocas win and Argentina lose, they will be very close to achieving the second objective.

Brazil midfielder Casemiro said Brazil would come out with their usual approach, to be strong and demanding against a respected team, like Ecuador, which is close to qualifying for the World Cup. The Real Madrid midfielder said there are no friendly matches or formalities for Brazil; the public will always expect the best of his team. Although they are already qualified for the World Cup, the same task will continue, match by match, seeking to improve as a team. Due to physical problems, Brazil coach Tite will be without Neymar and will attack Real Madrid's Vinicius Júnior and Atlético striker Matheus Cunha.
