The NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team was announced as a way to honor the 75th anniversary of the league. The team consists of the greatest players in NBA history, selected by coaches, other players, media members, general managers, and team executives. Due to a tie in voting, the list ended up being 76 instead of 75.

11 players still active on NBA 75 Team

The NBA honored the 75 Team during the NBA All-Star game this Sunday. The fans cheered the loudest for Michael Jordan (who was announced last), Kobe Bryant (in memorium), and LeBron James.

James is one of 11 active players chosen to be part of the NBA 75 team. Let’s take a look at all 11 active players chosen to be part of the 76 greatest NBA players of all time.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks

At just 27 years old, Antetokounmpo is the youngest player to be selected to the team. He has been in the NBA eight seasons and since his start, he’s collected five All-Star and All-NBA selections, four All-Defensive Team selections, won Most Improved Player in 2017, consecutive MVP titles in 2019 and 2020, Defensive Player of the Year in 2020, and finally winning the NBA title in 2021 with the Bucks and being named Finals MVP.

Carmelo Anthony, LA Lakers

Though Anthony doesn’t have a championship title (yet), he’s a 10-time All-Star and 2013 NBA Scoring Champion, who now has a total 27,379 career points.

Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors

Curry, in his 13th season, is the league’s best ever three-point shooter. He’s also a seven-time All-Star and All-NBA selection, won consecutive MVP awards in 2015 and 2016, and won three NBA championships with the Warriors.

Anthony Davis, LA Lakers

Davis is just a little older than Antetokounmpo at 28 years old and was chosen number one overall in the 2012 draft. He is an eight-time All-Star, four-time All-NBA selection, four-time All-Defensive team selection, won All-Star MVP in 2017, and won a championship with the Lakers in 2020.

Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets

Named Rookie of the Year in 2008, Durant is now in his 15th season in the NBA and has had 11 All-Star selections, nine All-NBA selections, four scoring titles, two All-Star MVP titles, a two-time back-to-back NBA champion and Finals MVP with the Warriors (2017 and 2018).

James Harden, Brooklyn Nets

Harden is in his 12th season with the NBA and has a long list of accomplishments to go with the years. He’s had nine All-Star selections, seven All-NBA selections, consecutive scoring titles from 2017 to 2020, and an assists crown in 2017. He went from Sixth Man of the Year in his third season to MVP in 2018 and continuous candidate for the title.

LeBron James, LA Lakers

In 2003, James was the number one pick in the NBA Draft and he’s never disappointed. He’s been in the league 18 years now and was named 2004 Rookie of the Year before later earning 17 All-Star and All-NBA selections, three-time All-Star MVP titles, six All-Defensive Team selections, is a four-time MVP, four-time NBA champion, and four-time NBA Finals MVP. This season, he is the third all-time on the scoring list for the NBA, behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.

Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers

In 10 seasons, Leonard has racked up seven All-Defensive Team selections, five All-Stars, five All-NBA Teams, two Defensive Player of the Year awards, and won two NBA Championships with two different teams (the Spurs and the Raptors), winning Finals MVP for both.

Damian Lillard, Portland Trailblazers

Lillard is in his 11th season with the Trailblazers. Since winning 2013 Rookie of the Year, he has earned six All-Star and All-NBA selections and now has an average of 24.6 points and 6.6 assists across a total of 638 regular season games.

Chris Paul, Phoenix Suns

In addition, he’s earned nine All-Star and All-NBA selections, two All-Star MVPs, three assist titles, two scoring titles, and was 2017’s NBA MVP.
