Sergio Ramos is in a race against time to make the PSG squad for their Champions League last 16 second leg against Real Madrid.

The Andalusian defender could return to training in the next few days and, although he is likely to miss the match with Nice this weekend, he hasn't been ruled out of making the PSG squad for the Champions League last 16 tie.

According to Le Parisien, Ramos has been working hard over the last few weeks to at least travel with the PSG squad to the Santiago Bernabéu. His last match was on 23 January, when he made his first start at the Parc des Princes in a 4-0 win over Reims.

PSG to welcome players back

As for the rest of the squad, PSG are being very cautious with Achraf Hakimi. The Morocco international picked up a thigh injury last week and, although the injury is not a serious one, L'Équipe reports that he will not be included in the squad for Nice to be ready for the crucial game against Madrid.

Nuno Mendes, currently suffering from knee pain after the win over Saint-Étienne, should make his return to Mauricio Pochettino's squad weekend.
