Full agenda for SIGA Women NYC summit is out!

The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) initiative was created as a drive to create greater public awareness of Good Governance, Financial Integrity, Sports Betting Integrity, and Youth Education and Child Protection and in 2021 secured the addition of Portuguese sports dailies A Bola, O Jogo and Record, and Spanish sports daily AS as key media partners.

The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) and its North American subsidiary, SIGA AMERICA, have released the agenda (download it here) for the SIGA Summit on Female Leadership in Sport, to be held in New York city next week, on March 8th and 9th.

Hosted by SIGA’s founding Member Mastercard, at their Manhattan Technology Hub, the SIGA Summit will bring together nearly 50 sport’s industry leaders, change-makers and senior representatives from more than 40 leading organisations that are lining up with SIGA on a strong call for gender equity in sport.

This much awaited thought leadership event kicks off on International Women’s Day and consists of 10 live panels, six keynote speeches and one-to-one interviews with high profile industry leaders. The SIGA Summit addresses the most pressing challenges that impact women carving out a career, as well as those women at the top of their profession.

This Summit is part of SIGA’s efforts to advance Good Governance in the industry and instigate positive change. SIGA is driving gender equity opportunities through its #SIGAWomen Global Mentorship Programme that is now in its fourth annual cycle.

Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros on summit

The SIG Global CEO, SIGA AMERICA Chairman & CEO, stated: “The vast amount of work, passion and dedication SIGA and our member Mastercard have put into the organisation of our upcoming Summit on Female Leadership in Sport leaves no doubt about how strong we feel about this cause. Female Leadership in Sport is growing by the day thanks to the extraordinary vision, courage and hard work of an increasing number of women who are daring to break the bias and smash the gender glass ceiling. The stature, breadth and representativeness of global female leaders, male champions and organisations who have answered our call is impressive. They show that, when people unite around a common cause, impossible is nothing. I invite all likeminded organisations and individuals to stand up, join our global movement and press for change!”
