Cam Johnson's buzzer beater gives Suns win over Knicks
Cam Johnson carried the Suns for most of the game on Friday in Phoenix and it was he who lifted them above the Knicks with a three-pointer at the buzzer.
The Phoenix Suns were down two of their best players in Friday's game against the New York Knicks with Chris Paul and Devin Booker both out. They were up against a Knicks team who are not even in the playoff picture in the East, and yet the Suns struggled for most of the night.
It was Cam Johnson who carried the team for most of the game, with Paul and Booker out. In just 28 minutes of game time, Johnson finished the game with 38 points on 11-of-16 shooting from three and a total of nine three-pointers. One of which was, of course, the game-winner.
Just in the final seconds of the game, the Suns down 114-112, Johnson took a deep bank shot at the buzzer, just in time, lifting the Suns to 115-114 above the Knicks and avoiding the upset. The Suns are now 51-12 overall, an NBA best.
