One day after the Buccaneers got Brady back, Tampa Bay re-gained another key player, cornerback Carlton Davis

On Monday, Davis and the Bucs agreed to a three-year deal worth $45 million with $30 million guaranteed, which prevents the cornerback from becoming an unrestricted free agent.

A second-round pick of the Bucs in 2018, Davis started 50 regular-season games with Tampa Bay, and six postseason games, including Super Bowl LV.

During his time in Tampa, he established himself as one of the league’s quintessential cornerbacks, with the most passes in the NFL, 48.

Even though the 25-year-old battled with injuries that kept him off the field for quite some time in 2021, the team’s lineup was far better with him in it.

The Buccaneers and their coaches are working to get the best team going for the 2022 season, especially after bringing back the GOAT, Tom Brady, and holding tight onto their top-ranked free agent.
