Access Earth is the latest in a growing group of new members to have joined the collective in 2022: following other entities such as the Portuguese Swimming Federation and the Azores Government.

Accessibility spells inclusion

Commenting on the new partnership, the SIGA Global CEO, Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, stated:

Without accessibility there is no inclusion in Sport. As a matter of fact, there’s no Sport. This is one of the many reasons why SIGA is delighted to welcome Access Earth as the latest member to join our global coalition.

"This is a key component of the integral work that the SIGA Standing Committee on GRID is pioneering as part of our drive to enhance sports governance globally. I congratulate Matt McCann and the Access Earth team for the work they are doing in this field, and look forward to our collaborative efforts to make tangible progress in the months and years ahead.”

Matt McCann, CEO and Co-Founder of Access Earth, shared his views:

“At Access Earth our mission statement is to build the world’s largest database of accessibility information. We feel that the partnership with SIGA perfectly encapsulates what we would like to achieve within the world of sports. Stadiums are the touchstone within the communities they inhabit. Together with SIGA, we can truly amplify the message of making the future of Sport and football accessible for everyone”.
