Inter Miami CF hit rock bottom under manager Phil Neville
The team owned by David Beckham is having a disastrous start of the season and they are in the bottom of the table in the eastern conference.
The positive news for Inter Miami is that Gonzalo Higuaín scored his first goal of the campaign in the 3-1 defeat against Cincinnati over the weekend, but the reality is that they are one of the four teams that have yet to win a game in the first four fixtures of the season. The team managed by Phil Neville sits at the bottom of the table in the eastern conference with one point and a goal difference of -8, the worst in the league.
Inter Miami to continue training during international break
Over the weekend, Inter Miami suffered their third consecutive defeat and they have only scored two goals in four games. On top of that, they have conceded 10 goals and the team looks clueless on the pitch even though Neville brought in 14 new players for the 2022 campaign after failing to qualify for the playoffs last year.
“In any walk of life, in my experience, the only way to get out of situations like this is work harder, to run more, play football more,” Neville said during the press conference after losing to Cincinnati on Saturday.
“We are a young team and I don’t want to use that as an excuse, but this young team needs to get up to speed with each other. The confidence needs to come back because we need to start picking up points and winning games of football. The only way we’re going to get confidence is by winning games of football,” said Neville.
