Hawaii police said in a statement that South Hilo officers had responded to reports of a disorderly bar patron and alleged that the 29-year old had become “agitated” as other customers were singing karaoke and began “yelling obscenities”.
The police statement goes on to say that Miller “grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts. The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail”.

This news follows quickly on the back of Will Smith’s headline-making slap of Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday night, an event that Miller featured in briefly. It was a scene of the Flash in Zack Snyder’s Justice League that won the newly created “most cheer-worthy moment” category, one voted for by the viewing public.
South Hilo police have advised that Miller was released on bail on Monday.
