Jenkins: Consistent excellent performance
Jenkins was the No. 14 overall pick of the Saints in the 2009 NFL draft, and proceeded to deliver as one of the most outstanding and reliable safeties in the league.
He made the second-team All-Pro in 2010, and helped the team’s campaign to win the championship, notching five solo tackles and a pass deflection in their 31-17 Super Bowl XLIV win against the Indianapolis Colts.

The veteran then signed up with the Eagles in 2014, where he shone even brighter. He was named to the Pro Bowl three times during his stint with Philadelphia, making the cut in 2015, 2017, and 2018.
Jenkins played very consistently, missing only 10 games in his entire pro football career. He was active for each game in the five years that he was with the Eagles.

Jenkins: Retiring while he is still ahead
He leaves the sport with elite-level numbers, racking up 79 tackles, five passes defended, and one interception in the 16 games he played in his last season.
The 34-year-old made his announcement on the The Pivot podcast hosted by Ryan Clark.
“I played the game at the highest level for 13 seasons and I have accomplished Super Bowls, Pro Bowl, all that there is to do in this game. And when I came in, I always wanted to make an impact on the game on and off the field. And I just feel like at this point I’ve accomplished that,” Jenkins said.
