‘Betrayal: A Father’s Secret’: release date, trailer, how to watch
Based on the podcast of the same name, the TV docuseries ‘Betrayal’ is back with season two, which is due for release at the end of the month.
Season two of the true-crime docuseries Betrayal is due out on the streaming service Hulu later this month, covering another grim case in which a wife discovers that her husband is not the man she thought he was.
Based on the podcast of the same name, Betrayal “details real-life fairytales gone horribly wrong, cautionary tales of deceitful relationships that have destroyed the lives of those involved,” Hulu says.
What is Betrayal season two about?
In a statement announcing the return of the series earlier this week, creators ABC News Studios revealed: “Season two follows Ashley Lytton, a Utah wife and mother of three, as she unearths her husband Jason’s secret, leaving her fearing for her family’s safety and future.”
In the trailer for season two, which is entitled Betrayal: A Father’s Secret, Lytton tells the documentary’s makers: “We live in a very beautiful place, but sometimes the beauty masks what really is going on.” She adds: “Jason seemed happy. We all just thought the world of him. Everything felt right.”
One day, however, Lytton made an Earth-shattering discovery: “All of a sudden I found this hidden [computer] folder. I opened it, and… I don’t think I can say it, I’m sorry.” She went on: “I realised that my life will never be the same.”

What was Betrayal season one about?
Betrayal: A Father’s Secret is the follow-up to the docuseries’ opening season, Betrayal: A Perfect Husband. Released on Hulu in July 2023, season one focuses on Jennifer Faison, a Georgia woman who finds out the devastating truth about her husband and college sweetheart, Spencer Herron.
