From Hilton to Crystal: celebrity mansions up in flames in the Los Angeles fires
Wildfires in LA California have reached tens of thousands of acres, destroying structures, including multi-million celebrity residences.

California is ablaze as multiple wildfires erupt across the southern part of the state. The first flames were reported on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, in Pacific Palisades, near North Piedra Morada Drive. Since then, several fires have spread throughout Southern California.
Currently, there are five active fires in the region – Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset. Together, the fires have scorched approximately 30,000 acres, destroying more than 2,000 structures, including the homes of several prominent celebrities.
Celebrity homes lost in LA fires
Among those who tragically lost their homes are Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, whose $6 million residence was located in the Pacific Palisades fire zone.
Other notable figures who have lost their homes include Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, James Woods, Anna Faris, Carlos Vela, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Ricki Lake, Cameron Mathison, Diane Warren, Eugene Levy, Miles Teller, Anthony Hopkins, and John Goodman. Mel Gibson also talked about his loss.
Paris Hilton shared her devastation on Instagram, writing: “Watching the news and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground live on TV is something no one should ever have to experience.”
Meanwhile, Billy Crystal told PEOPLE: “Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing.”
Evacuated celebrities
In addition to those who lost their homes, several other celebrities were forced to evacuate, including Ben Affleck, Mark Hamill, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
