Update:

Former Alcorn State University footballer Ashton Hall has seen his career rocket since hanging up his helmet.

The Jacksonville native has become something of a social media sensation due to his extreme ‘morning routines’ which begin at 3.52 am and finish at 9.30 am.

Halls’ morning routine

4:04 a.m.: Push-ups on the balcony
4:38 a.m.: Meditation and journaling while sipping on Saratoga Spring Water.
5:46 a.m.: The first of two ice facials using in a bowl of ice-filled Saratoga water.
6:20 a.m.: A rigorous gym workout, including treadmill sprints.
7:40 a.m.: Swimming laps followed by a relaxing soak in a hot tub.
8:43 a.m.: Applying banana peel as a face mask after eating the fruit for breakfast.
9:09 a.m.: A second ice facial.
9:26 a.m.: Breakfast, scrambled eggs, avocado toast, and bacon.

Hall’s discipline and enviable physique has generated plenty of admiration with others poking fun at the extravagance of the routine with Hall seeing his Instagram following to over nine million followers.

Fitness experts and sleep specialists have weighed in too, with mixed opinions on the routine.

Dr. Sarah Johnson, a sleep researcher, warns, “While a consistent morning routine can be beneficial, waking up at 3:52 a.m. every day could lead to chronic sleep deprivation for most people.”
