Not many NBA players openly display their more domestic hobbies, with many focusing on acquiring the finest cars or attending the most vibrant festivals. However, some top stars pursue passions that pay homage to their heroes on screen. One such player is Myles Turner, the center for the Indiana Pacers, who recently embraced his love for “Star Wars” by dressing up as Han Solo. This was in celebration of the Star Wars Night held on 20 December, where he showed his fandom for the iconic sci-fi franchise.

Turner is a true devotee of the “Star Wars” franchise, often seen embracing cosplay of his favorite characters. During the recent Star Wars Night, he was accompanied by his girlfriend, who was dressed as Princess Leia. On other occasions, it’s his friends or even his sister who join him in this ritual en route to the basketball court.

The Pacers’ account on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) has been showcasing Turner’s other cosplay endeavors, as you can see above. For his first foray, he chose a classic look: dressed in black with the Darth Vader mask and a red lightsaber, flanked by two friends dressed as Imperial soldiers. His imposing arrival in this getup would impress any rival.

However, his most elaborate cosplay came later. Turner dressed as the Mandalorian, complete with intricate details, including the sword and his Baby Yoda in a sack. Accompanying him was Ashoka, portrayed by his sister, in a truly spectacular outfit. Behind them were a couple of friends dressed as Tusken Raiders.

These memorable appearances have become part of the history of Turner’s unique way of expressing his fandom.

Star Wars isn’t Myles Turner’s only passion; he is also an avid LEGO builder. His collection includes some of the most expensive Star Wars LEGO sets and other custom builds. One notable piece in his collection is a LEGO mosaic depicting him dunking a basketball, created using individual LEGO bricks. But his masterpiece is a life-size reproduction of himself dressed in Darth Vader’s armor – a remarkable feat in LEGO construction.
