George Clooney responds to Trump: “I don’t care if he calls me a fake actor”
The actor has hit back with comments of his own after being called a “second rate movie star” by the President.
Hollywood star George Clooney has hit back at the President of the United States after being branded “a fake actor” by the leader of the country.
Speaking on “CBS Mornings” to promote his Broadway debut in “Good Night and Good Luck,” Clooney was asked about Trump’s Truth Social post that hit out at him, labelling him “a second rate movie star” among other things.
Trump posted his heated message on Truth Social after Clooney came out publicly to ask for Joe Biden to step down in order for a more prepared candidate to defeat Trump.

‘Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television’
“So now fake movie actor George Clooney”, Trump wrote, “who never came close to making a great movie, is getting into the act. He’s turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are. What does Clooney know about anything?…Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!!!”
“I don’t care. I’ve known Donald Trump for a long time”, Clooney responded, speaking to CBS, adding ”my job is not to please the President of the United States. My job is to try and tell the truth when I can and when I have the opportunity,” Clooney added. “I am well aware of the idea that people will not like that, there will be people that criticise that.”
He also commented on Elon Musk, the unelected official who is in charge of cutting services that the American people rely on. Predictably, Clooney batted away the criticism with ease: “Elon Musk has weighed in [about me]. That is their right. It’s my right to say the other side.”
