Here’s what Rosalía told her dancers when her mic was accidentally left on

While mistakes happen at live shows, having a mic turned on when it should be turned off can be a huge problem. But for Rosalía, the situation was in her favor, when her mic was accidentally left on moments before she would take to the stage.

The Spanish singer could be heard giving her dancers a touching speech to motivate them to give it their all at Friday’s Lollapalooza Argentina set, heard by her fans in the audience eagerly awaiting her presence.

A touching speech

This is the first show we’re doing and I hope you guys feel very proud of this [and] that you enjoy the show,” were the first words she told her dancers in English.

“You know that I cannot do this without you. And I feel very happy, very blessed that you’re here. And I really, really, really hope that you enjoy this set tonight on stage. I learn a lot from all each one of you during this process. I want you to know that I admire you and I love you. I’m grateful for your presence. We’re gonna kill this s–t! Okay? Let’s go!

The pep talk was followed by Rosalía and her dancers cheering “1…2…3 Argentina!

Rosalía’s big weekend

Lollapalooza Argentina took place between Friday and Sunday in Buenos Aires at the Hipódromo de San Isidro. Rosalía headlined the first night, along with Canadian artist Drake, who has caused controversy with a shortened performance.

Rosalía also appeared at Lollapalooza Chile on Saturday, with both Lollapalooza events marking her second time performing in both countries since her ‘Motomami’ tour last August.

New projects for Rosalía

Rosalía has been working on collaborations with different brands and companies. She recently came out to promote a new limited edition flavor of Coca-Cola called “move” which was packaged with Rosalía’s black and pink color scheme and doodles drawn by Rosalía herself.

She also collaborated with her hometown’s soccer team. FC Barcelona is selling limited edition Barça jerseys with the ‘Motomami’ logo, referring to Rosalía’s latest album, with three of the four editions already sold out.

On March 24 she’ll be releasing a three-track EP with her partner Rauw Alejandro called ‘RR’. The three songs are called “Beso’, “Vampiros’, and ‘Promesa’. While the release marks the first time the couple has recorded together, Rosalía previously worked with Rauw to write for his debut album ‘Afrodisíaco’ released in 2020.
