How many Oscars does Emma Stone have and how many times has she been nominated for an Academy Award?
Emma Stone wins her second Academy Award for Leading Actress at 35 for her role in “Poor Things.” How many nominations does she have?
While some have achieved this accolade multiple times, others retire without ever hearing their name called and rising to the stage to collect their award despite having had long and successful careers and multiple nominations. Emma Stone does not find herself in the latter category. Tonight, at the 96th Academy Awards, she took home her second Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Bella Baxter in “Poor Things.”
Her first win came in 2017 for her performance in “La La Land,” where she shared the screen with Ryan Gosling, who earned a nomination but no win.
Stone has also been nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting Role twice. The first came in 2015 for her performance in “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)” and the second in 2019 for “The Favourite.” She did not win either year.
What other nominations did “Poor Things” receive?
In addition to Stone’s nomination, “Poor Things” received ten others: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Costume Design, and Best Film Editing.
A total of four Oscars were won.
“Oppenheimer,” nominated for thirteen Oscars, took home seven on Sunday night, including that for “Best Picture,” while Christopher Nolan was named Best Director and Cillian Murphy Best Actor.
