Update:

There’s one famous Don who definitely isn’t a fan of Bad Bunny, the rapper set to headline this weekend’s Super Bowl halftime show. However, there’s another who wholeheartedly is.

“His music is awesome”

Mad Men actor Jon Hamm, best known for his role as ad exec Don Draper on the hit TV series, is a self-proclaimed, devoted aficionado of the Puerto Rican musician. Indeed, the Golden Globe and Emmy winner is one of numerous A-list celebrities who have been spotted dancing along at Bad Bunny’s shows.

In August 2025, a shackles-off Hamm was seen throwing some exuberant shapes at a Bad Bunny concert in San Juan, during the six-time Grammy recipient’s 31-date residency in the Puerto Rican capital.

Asked about his Bad Bunny fandom during an April 2025 interview on NBC, Hamm responded effusively. “Oh my God,” the 54-year-old told Today host Savannah Guthrie. “His music is awesome. You can’t listen to his music and not smile. I just love his story, he’s a really nice guy, he’s funny.”

Referencing Bad Bunny’s multiple appearances on the comedy-sketch TV show Saturday Night Live, Hamm added: “He’s an SNL guy too - they love him over there!

“A little obsessed with me”

Hamm and Bad Bunny have featured together on SNL: in October, the latter used his slot as the program’s guest host to poke fun at the actor’s antics during last summer’s concert.

“My residency was beautiful - everyone loved it and some celebrities came to my show,” Bad Bunny said in his opening monologue. Before cutting to footage of Hamm’s dancing in San Juan, he went on: “A few of them were on drugs. I don’t want to say who, but this was Jon Hamm.”

Back on the SNL set, the cameras then panned to the NBC program’s live studio audience, where Hamm could be seen decked out in the same colourful outfit he wore to Bad Bunny’s concert, recreating his memorable moves. “I think he’s a little obsessed with me,” the rapper joked.

Bad Bunny also coined a new moniker for Hamm, translating the screen star’s name into Spanish to bestow him with the alias “Juan Jamón”.

Spanish-speaking Super Bowl star

Bad Bunny, whose full name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is this weekend poised to become the first musician to deliver a chiefly Spanish-language performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.

However, he has said there is no need for English-speaking fans to brush up on their Spanish before his appearance at the NFL’s title game. “It’s going to be easy, people only have to worry about dancing,” the 31-year-old told his pre-Super Bowl press conference. “They don’t even have to learn Spanish. Better they learn to dance. There is no better dance than the one that comes from the heart.”

“ICE out”

Along with fellow Super Bowl LX act Green Day, Bad Bunny has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump and the policies adopted by the U.S. president. Notably, at last weekend’s Grammy Awards, he took aim at the Trump administration’s immigrant crackdown, which has seen the U.S.’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) carry out a wave of deportation raids across the country.

Speaking as he picked up an award at Sunday’s ceremony, Bad Bunny told audience members in Los Angeles: “Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say: ICE out.”

During his Grammys address, Bad Bunny also urged opponents of the Trump administration’s anti-immigration stance to fight back “with love”. “I know it’s tough not to hate these days, and I was thinking sometimes we get contaminados [poisoned by it],” he said. “The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.”

Trump, meanwhile, has said he’ll be skipping the Super Bowl this year, blasting the NFL’s choice of Bad Bunny and Green Day as “terrible”. “I’m anti‑them,” the 79-year-old told an interview with the New York Post in January.
