Colombian singer Shakira has announced that she will release her new album, ‘Las Mujeres ya no Lloran.’ The release comes seven years after her last album, and anyone paying attention knows that the singer had ample material to draw from as she worked on her latest disk.

This will be her twelfth studio album and her first debut on vinyl. The album will be released on 22 March, and you can reserve a copy if you want to get your hands on one as soon as it drops.

My new album, coming out March 22, is one I created together with all of you, my pack of shewolves who were there for me every step of the way,” wrote the Barranquilla native on Instagram. She added that through writing each song, she ‘rebuilt herself.’

“While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength,” said the singer to her millions of followers who are patiently awaiting the release. The release comes after the separation from her long-term partner, ex-footballer Gerard Piqué.

What will Shakira's new album be like?

Shakira is the highest-selling female Latin singer of all time, and her highly anticipated album will consist of sixteen songs, some of which we have heard before.

Seven have already been released to the public and have a total of 3.7 billion streams on Spotify. These include: “Music Sessions Vol. 53″ with Bizarrap, “TQG” with Karol G, “Te Felicito” with Rauw Alejandro, “Copa Vacía” with Manuel Turizo, “Acróstico” and “El Jefe” with Fuerza Rígida.

The singer’s team has announced that their new album will be released in four different versions, each with an exclusive color variant: Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald. The Saphire edition will be exclusively available to Amazon customers in the US, while the Emerald version will be offered only to fans through the artist’s website. The Diamond edition of the album will be available in stores both nationally and internationally. The Ruby edition, on the other hand, will only be available at retailers outside the US. Like all of the artist’s previous albums, ‘Las mujeres ya no Llornan’ is expected to cement her legendary status as she continues to dominate the music industry after last year’s success.
