Spas, resorts and luxurious hotels: These are the amazing locations you will see on “The White Lotus” season 3
The HBO series has returned for the much-anticipated third season, set on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.

The third season of ‘The White Lotus’ was released on February 16, the latest instalment of the scandalous globe-trotting comedy-drama.
After trips to the Hawaii and Sicily, season three is based on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. The new season brings with it a (largely) new cast and a whole host of gorgeous new locations to serve as backdrop.
‘The White Lotus’ has garnered numerous Emmy Awards with slick writing and edge-of-your-seat drama, but the luxurious surroundings at the eponymous hotel is also a big attraction. Ahead of the new season, CNN Travel revealed the real-life locations of the new season.
Where is ‘The White Lotus’ filmed?
Season three of ‘The White Lotus’ is set in Koh Samui, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand. It’s a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, accessible by boat from Surat Thani.
Much of the new season is shot at the Four Seasons Resort in Koh Sami, as was the case in seasons one and two. HBO has revealed that much of the shoot took place in and around the luxury resort. However there are some exceptions.
The fictional hotel’s ‘bar’ is actually the Singing Bird Lounge at the nearby Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort. The Anantara Bophut Koh Samui provides the background for The White Lotus' reception, security station and driveway.
In addition to those hotel locations, the shooting also took the cast and crew to Choeng Mon Beach, Am Samui Resort Taling Ngam, Wat Phu Khao Thong, the Dusit Dheva Cultural Center, Cape Fahn Hotel and the Pi Samui Beach Club and Restaurant. There are also some scenes filmed on the island of Phuket, the biggest of Thailand’s many islands.
The season three cast includes Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Walton Goggins, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger. K-pop star Lalisa ‘Lisa’ Manobal, who is Thai, also stars in the new season.
The biggest news, however, for ‘The White Lotus’ fans will be the return of Natasha Rothwell. Spa manager Belinda from the first season was a firm favourites with viewers and fans will be hoping that her quest for a business of her own finally to bares fruit.
