Taylor Swift is looking to sue a deepfake adult site after images were released online that depict the pop star in graphic scenes.

Dozens of images were uploaded to the internet that showed Swift in a series of sexual acts while dressed in Kansas City Chief memorabilia. The images play on her new-found link to the side due to her relationship with tight end Travis Kelce.

A source reportedly close to Swift told UK media outlet the Daily Mail ‘whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided but there is one thing that is clear: these fake AI generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative, and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge. The Twitter account that posted them does not exist anymore. It is shocking that the social media platform even let them be up to begin with.”

Taylor’s family “furious” as ‘Swifties’ show support

These images must be removed from everywhere they exist” the source continued, “and should not be promoted by anyone. Taylor’s circle of family and friends are furious, as are her fans obviously. They have the right to be, and every woman should be. The door needs to be shut on this. Legislation needs to be passed to prevent this and laws must be enacted.”

While the social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Reddit reacted swiftly to remove the photos, the fans worked quicker, expressing their outrage with those who engaged in spreading the fakes, with the words PROTECT TAYLOR SWIFT repeated over and over again in an effort to drown out the explicit images and make them more difficult to find.

Democrat says Swift situation ‘happening to women everywhere, every day’

It’s unclear where the Taylor Swift-related images originated” said CNN, while The New York Times wrote that “one image shared by a user on X, formerly Twitter, was viewed 47 million times before the account was suspended”.

The deepfakes of Swift have caused many people to once again call for action from those in charge of the law. Joe Morelle, a Democrat from New York, introduced a bill last year that would make sharing such images a federal crime. Once the Swift story broke, he posted on Twitter that the spread of the images was “appalling,” adding: “It’s happening to women everywhere, every day.”
