‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ leading the Daytime Emmy talk show nominations: Full list of nominees

The Daytime Emmy nominations have been revealed, and leading the way for daytime talk show nominations is ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ and ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’.

Leading overall nominations is the long-running soap opera ‘General Hospital, followed by ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’, ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘Days of Our Lives.’

Leading the Daytime Talk Show nominations

‘The Kelly Clarkson’ show has 11 nominations this year at the Daytime Emmys, including the best daytime talk series host, joining Drew Barrymore for ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, Tamron Hall, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest for ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’, Sherri Shepherd for ‘Sherri’ and Jennifer Hudson for ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show.’

Clarkson has previously won the best daytime talk series host for the past three years. Her show also won the best daytime talk series for the last two years.

Barrymore follows Clarkson with seven nominations for her show, closely followed by ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ with six nominations, and ‘Sherri’, ‘Tamron Hall’, and ‘The View’ with four nominations each.

Soap operas taking over nominations

‘General Hospital’ leads the Daytime Emmys with 19 nominations, followed by ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ with 13, and ‘Days of Our Lives’ with 11.

All four shows were nominated for best daytime drama series.

When are the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards?

The full list of nominees was revealed on Wednesday, April 26, with NATAS president & CEO Adam Sharp prefacing the list by honoring the Daytime Emmy Award’s 50th anniversary this year.

“Today we not only honor this year’s outstanding programs and individuals, we mark a milestone in television history,” Sharp said in a statement. “Our golden anniversary celebrates the talented creators who have made the last 50 years of daytime television so unforgettable.”

The Daytime Emmys will be broadcast live on CBS, and also streaming live on Paramount+ on June 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
