Update:

Jill Hennessy, a Canadian actor and musician, is best known to many for her role as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on Law & Order.

Joining the cast in 1993 during the show’s fourth season, Hennessy brought a sharp energy to the character, often portraying Kincaid as a lawyer deeply committed to justice but unafraid to challenge the system.

Hennessy remained on the show until 1996, appearing in 68 episodes and leaving a strong impression on both fans and critics.

After her stint at Law & Order, Hennessy starred in the NBC drama Crossing Jordan from 2001 to 2007, where she played Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh, a forensic pathologist whose investigative style often clashed with authority.

Currently, she stars in Showtime’s City on a Hill, a gritty Boston-set crime drama alongside Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge. Beyond acting, Hennessy is also a singer-songwriter and has released two albums Ghost in My Head (2009) and I Do (2015) — blending folk, country, and rock influences.

She is an active social media user and has used her profile to call out Israel’s atrocities in occupied Palestine, including for calling the authorities to open the corridors to allow aid into the starving population against which Netanyahu’s regime is currently committing a genocide.
