Disney Channel was part of many people’s childhoods with wildly popular series like ‘Hannah Montana’, ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ and ‘That’s So Raven’.
Fans also loved ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’, and the spin-off series ‘The Suite Life on Deck’, and the characters will live long in the memory. In addition to the eponymous Zack and Cody, the show featured the likes of Mr. Mosby, Maddie and London Tipton, played by Brenda Song.
Twenty years on from the premiere of the first season, Song remains a major star and was recently involved in the Netflix series ‘Running Point’. Alongside her career, Song has also been in the news for continuing activism work and the family she has built with one of the most famous movie stars of the 1990s.
Brenda Song’s career in showbusiness
Brenda Song was born in California on March 27, 1988 and began her career in the entertainment world as a child model. However it wasn’t until she switched to acting in 2002 that she got a major break, signing with Disney Channel to feature in films like ‘Get a Clue’ (2002), ‘Stuck in the Suburbs’ (2004) and ‘Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior’ (2006).
Most notably, she played London Tipton on ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’ from 2005 to 2008 and on ‘The Suite Life on Deck’ from 2008 to 2011.
As an adult Song appeared in TV projects ‘Scandal’, ‘New Girl’, ‘Dads’, ‘Pure Genius’, ‘Station 19’, ‘Dollface’ and most recently ‘Running Point’. On film, she’s probably best-known for ‘The Social Network’ and has also appeared in ‘Angry Angel’ (2017), ‘Secret Obsession’ (2019), ‘Changeland’ (2019), ‘Love Accidentally’ (2022) and ‘The Last Showgirl’ (2024).
Is Brenda Song married?
Since 2017 Song has been in a relationship with actor Macaulay Culkin, whom she met while working together on ‘Changeland’. Culkin is best-known as the star of the ‘Home Alone’ franchise and one of the most famous child actors of all-time.
The couple were spotted dating soon after they first met and quickly became a couple. In 2021 they welcomed their first child, Dakota. They became parents for the second time at the end of 2022 after the birth of their second son, Carson.
After more than four years of dating, Culkin and Song got engaged in January 2022 but they are not though to have tied the knot just yet. InStyle reports that they had initially considered eloping but didn’t want Song’s mother to miss out on the occasion. She’ll just have to wait a bit longer.
