The 97th Academy Awards, commonly known as the Oscars, are set to get underway soon, with the great and the good of TV and Film to go head to head for the prestigious awards.

Talk show host Conan O’Brien is set to host the event, marking his first time in this role. The comedic actor will be sure to give a funny flair to the show, and that’s just his hair.

What time does the Oscars start?

This year, they are scheduled for Sunday, March 2, 2025. The ceremony will commence at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). This translates to 6:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST), 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST), and 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

As for the event itself, Emilia Pérez tops the list of nominees with 13 nominations, including Best Picture. Following closely are Wicked and The Brutalist, each earning 10 nominations and also competing for the year’s top film award.
