Zendaya is looking to add to her trophy collection, with Thursday night’s 2023 CinemaCon close on the horizon. Actress Zendaya is set to receive the Star of the Year award at this year’s convention.

The 2023 CinemaCon, which is the official yearly convention for the National Association of Theater Owners, will be held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas April 24 to 27.

Zendaya changing the game in the industry

The association released a press statement informing audiences that Zendaya has been awarded Star of the Year during the Big Screen Achievement Awards, to be held Thursday at The Colosseum, which is in Caesars Palace.

The 26-year-old has won two Emmy Awards for her role in ‘Euphoria’ on the small screen, while scooping up big roles on the silver screen such as ‘Dune’ and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

Zendaya, who is reportedly in London meeting Tom Holland’s family, as the two have been dating since they made the ‘Spider-Man’ movie in 2017, has not commented publicly on the award yet.

Meanwhile, the board at the National Association of Theater Owners, who is currently preparing for CinemaCon, is very excited to have Zendaya take home the trophy. The association released a statement about Zendaya’s influence in the industry.

“We could not be more honored to present Zendaya with this year’s CinemaCon Star of the Year Award,” Mitch Neuhauser, Managing Director of CinemaCon, said.

“In just a few short years,” he continued, “Zendaya has captured audiences’ attention with her compassionate performance on the small screen as Rue in ‘Euphoria’ and has drawn audiences in on the big screen with her performances in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, ‘The Greatest Showman’ and ‘Dune’.”

Will there be a ‘Euphoria’ season three?

Zendaya is scheduled to reprise her role as Rue for season three of ‘Euphoria’. However, though the show was renewed in February 2022, there is still no indication of when production will begin.

All signs still point to go, with a report indicating that the actress is to receive a significant pay increase for the next season.

Zendaya will reportedly earn more than $1 million per episode as of the third season.
